We value a diverse professional background, but we expect you to have a successful track record, be appropriately qualified (ideally with a degree or equivalent professional qualifications in mathematics, operational research, physics, finance and economics or computer science), be an experienced specialist in one of our core capabilities like Data Science, BI/ Visualisation and data engineering/ data management. Our opportunities are at all grades, your entry level will depend on your experience and range of skills.  If you have some of the following skills and experience, we can offer the opportunity to make the most of them and to develop in other areas to build your career.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract position.

Personal Skills

  • Experience conducting analysis for evidence-based decision making by either using:
    • Business Intelligence / Visualisation tools;
    • Data science techniques, approaches and algorithms;
    • Data engineering and data management processes and platforms; or
    • Developing financial models
  • An inquisitive mind that wants to solve the trickiest challenges whilst working with incredible colleagues.
  • Existing experience in consulting would be beneficial although we equally like in-house experience.
  • Balancing your analytical abilities with your stellar communication skills; you will be comfortable taking data and turning it into digestible information.

Technical Skills – Experience in one of the following areas

  • For data visualisation: you will be experienced in working in one of the principal Cloud environments of Azure, AWS and GCP
    • Experienced in using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, SAS and Cognos.
  • For data engineering: you will be experienced in working in one of the principal Cloud environments of Azure, AWS and GCP
    • Familiarity with legacy data warehouse platforms such as Oracle, Teradata would be an advantage
    • Familiarity with common ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend would also be an advantage
    • SQL and NoSQL knowledge
    • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala
    • Data APIs
  • For data science: you will be experienced in working in one of the principal Cloud environments of Azure, AWS and GCP.
    • Experience of R and Python with knowledge of NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn and Tensorflow/Keras. NLP packages (e.g. NLTK, spaCy), visualisation packages (e.g. Plotly, Dash, Power BI).
    • Demonstrable experience of translating business problems into data science solutions is highly preferred.

Some of our clients require Security Clearance and it would be helpful if you already had this in place.
